Just because Newzbin lost their case to the MPA, doesn't mean the site is useless. In fact, far from it. In the case against Newzbin, the MPA only won an injunction preventing any further TV or movie NZB files from being posted that MAY infringe on the MPA's member's copyrights. What does this mean for you?

Well it means that Newzbin isn't going anywhere yet, and it also means that all the NZB files currently in its database are still good too. What will happen once the filter is imposed is anyone's guess. But for those who live in the now will appreciate Newzbin's latest move - totally free and open access to their site and all of its capabilities.

"We have decided to stop taking payments for the use of the site for the time being.

"This will probably change once back once the legal action is done and dusted and we know what we need to do to carry on. So, for the time being 'fill yer boots' :)

"Premium Credit is still frozen - whatever credit you currently have will stay at that level until payments are restored again."

So there you have it. With open registration and free access, there's little reason not to give Newzbin a shot.
