There's little doubt that BitTorrent, Inc. is growing with astounding gust, thanks in part to its robust file-sharing application. With this rapid change is the arrival of dozens of independent and mainstream artists distributing work and taking advantage of the BitTorrent protocol. One change that has the BitTorrent community stumped is the reported departure of Bram Cohen from BitTorrent, Inc.

Bram Cohen as many already know is the founder and CEO of BitTorrent, Inc. Released in 2002, BitTorrent has quickly become the de facto standard of file-sharing. Without it, millions of otherwise information hungry netizens may still be using FastTrack to this very day.

Considering the amount of years, creative planning and brain power required to sustain BitTorrent, it appears inconceivable that Bram Cohen would leave the very creation that has revolutionized the way people trade information.

And BitTorrent, Inc., as does Bram Cohen, finds this inconceivable as well. As it turns out, Bram Cohen is still an employee of BitTorrent, Inc., is still the CEO (nor is his title changing), and the job function he had in the past is the same he has today, and will continue to have in the future.

"I'm still happily at BitTorrent," Bram told Slyck.com, "...and most definitely not on my way out."
