Here's a head's up on the Newzbin/MPA front. If you've nuked your Newzbin account out of fear of the MPA (an unnecessary move by the way!) you'll probably want to know that the Newzbin/MPA trial is set to resume tomorrow in the UK.

Unfortunately there isn't much news other than what has been provided by Newzbin on the progress of the trial - so who knows what's really going on. But from what we could tell, it appeared that Newzbin was a bit overwhelmed and under-prepared for the trial. Caesium, one of the site administrators, fell ill on the witness stand during cross examination, and the information made available painted a rather scary picture, especially posts like this:

"We may be being paranoid, but at the moment our hunch is that things are looking less positive for us than last week. We hope we are wrong."

Well, Newzbin has regrouped and armed themselves with more lawyers. Their latest posts have been more upbeat and optimistic - let's see what day six's update has to offer.
