RIAA Warns Large Corporations

This isn't the first time the RIAA has warned businesses about piracy on their network. However, it seems they have renewed their efforts, as more than 300 businesses have received nasty grams from the RIAA. About 35% of the letters sent were to technology companies.
While all the specifics of the letter have not been disclosed, the letter basically states that the companies’ computer resources are being used to distribute illegal material. In addition, "The letter tells the recipients of specific instances where people using Internet connections coming from the companies' networks accessed file-sharing services such as Kazaa and iMesh, where pirated songs and movies are readily available. "
"In short, your computer network and resources are being used to illegally distribute copyrighted music on the Internet," the letter said. "We strongly urge you to take immediate steps to prevent the continued infringement of our members' sound recordings on your corporate network."
The RIAA continues to witness plunging CD sales and an inoperative website. Time will tell if their terror tactics pay off.
