You're best off trying an IRC search engine to find anything specific like that. I do not know of any channels that are dedicated to or specialize in ebooks, but I do know a few search engines that should get you started.

http://www.packetnews.com
http://www.isohunt.com

Those 2 are the best that I know of. Anybody else is free to add to this list. Furthermore, I'm sure you can find a few more by searching around this forum.

Undernet:
#bookz

Busy channel, been running for year.
Guaranteed to destroy your eyesight so you won't be able to read at all

Then you can move up to #audiobookz or #audiobooks

Hi. Can someone tell me, on the atomic_irc ebooks channel, what you do to actually access the ebooks...@search, @booksearch !list etc, as on some other channels, don't seem to work...

check the topic? Try !help or something...

But really, just join a network, and type /list book

wait for the results to roll in ;)

Where's the best place for the latest fiction releases? I had been using #bookz on undernet, but I've been waiting like three months and still some books haven't been released. I tried bookwarez on nullus, too, and no luck.

I'm beginning to think the scanners quit or something. Can anyone tell me a good place to go for new fiction ebooks?

A simple google search should do it - ebooks channel irchighway.net

And what's up with deleting posts, MrFred? I get confused enough without help. :P

the deleted post was a lame spam attempt. what you didn't see is what housecrowd's guard dogs prevented him from posting - but we saw it ;)
