iMesh light. Someone's still trying to actually make use of fasttrack. Not only that, but a much older fasttrack stack.
Lite or not, this is something I whould never use.
Sorry imesh-light, nothing personal:
DO NOT USE THIS B.S.

Maby you did not noticed but this version also connects 2 other networks, eDonkey and Gnutella/G2. In the future it will connect 2 more networks.

I also know FT is dying but as i told you this new iMesh version connects 3 networks.

And Yes youre free to choose wich network you want to connect or not.

Try it? Are you crazy??

Stick with Shareaza if you want to use mult-network apps. I am guessing that the implemation is terrible. Do you leech off Edonkey & Gnutella?

EDIT:

Too bad no one can talk about this app seing your forum is all f'ed up.

Nope, not leeching. It works very smoothly adn down and uploads very fast.

People should try it if they want.

You are doing what has already been done.

Why should we choose your client over trusted ones as Shareaza or Edonkey (w/ plugins)??

Guys, be nice to him, I think what he's doing is great. (only thing is I guess he should have just updated it in Slyck's List of File Sharing Programs and Utilities instead of posting two new threads)

Personally, iMesh used to be my favourite p2p, and when I noticed it had gone multi-network, I desided to test it again. (your lite version of it, of course) I was a little dissappointed though, as it seemed it was unable to mesh sources from the different networks into the same file. I really like the idea of connecting to both eD2k and FT, and also G2. When I'm home next time, I think I will also try Morpheus (and remember to uninstall all their bundled crap, of course. Why has noone made a "Morpheus lite", by the way?) and see if NeoNet is as good as they say it is.

Do you happen to know which networks this well be? I'm guessing one of them is BitTorrent.

And do you have any news about what will happen to iMesh after it settled with the RIAA?

imesh-light: the only chance for getting recognition for this program of yours you have I think, is if you GPL it. Although I doubt you'll do that, and rather let imesh-light sink with FT.

So I've heard, but XoloX has not been updated since XoloX 2, while Morpheus is being updated frequenltly. I don't even know if XoloX 2 connects to NeoNet.

@DaBlade, I don't think he can GPL it, as it isn't really his program.

for Mr. Alzheimer,

I didnt know there was such a section, next time you will see such posts there. Thanks for letting me know!

The networks that will follow (i only heard this from the iMesh Team) Soulseek, BitTorrent and OpenNapster. Not 2 but even 3 (i checked it)

Im still not sure what there are planning to do, i have not see any changes in there program or policies.

For red duck

you do realize that it will install spyware on you machine?

I dont know where you get this, why dont test it yourself, you wont find any spyware. And dont say its bad for you pc to instal iMesh Light. A bit of computer experience can solve almost everything.

And i know there is Shearaza but i give people a change to choose their fav program.

You know what? I'm gonna see for myself if it has spyware or not.
And it's not OpenNapster, it's OpenNap! Without the 'ster'.

Spybot found nothing, even after being updated, however during installation, iMesh5 Light RC fickled with some system DLLs, and now I got that "Windoze File Protection (My ass)" dialog, asking me to put in the installation CD.

Did you run ad-aware, too? I realize how you have a thing against ad-aware and lavasoft, but you have to admit the two applications work great together, becaise that the file definitions usually aren't exactly the same. Maybe there's something Spybot missed?
