Hard drive damage from contantly running p2p apps

Postby johnnybyron » Thu Oct 25, 2018 9:33 am

I currently have shareaza and bittorrent (utorrent at the mo) running 24/7. I've heard that contantly running BT causes hard drives to "wear out". Is this true? Should I only have one app running at one time to reduce read/write operations? I would buy a second hard-drive but am completely skint!

Thanks
