Which Laptop To Choose

Postby eldude » Thu Oct 27, 2011 5:50 pm

Hi guys,

I'm currently looking to buy a laptop. I've wittled it down to 2 choices that I think look good. My question is which do you think looks better? I prefer certain aspects about the Asus (I've read a few reviews that say the battery life is good) but then I like the fingerprint reader and esata port on the Lenovo - tough choice. They seem pretty well matched spec wise.

http://www.dabs.com/products/asus-k53e- ... s=54590000

Any thoughts would be well appreciated.

Cheers

Unless you're thinking of buying all of us one for Xmas, surely it would be better to ask for opinions and experience of performance, reliability, battery life, etc.

Looks are subjective - which one looks the best is your own choice really. Personally though I think the ASUS is the prettier of the two, though that's not always a good thing. Pretty laptops often show fingerprints and marks more easily. In my experience Lenovo laptops, while often rather uninspiring and bland looking, are well-built, reliable and practical.

There's very little in it though. The specs are almost identical apart from the Lenovo's integrated biometric scanner.

Shop-wise, I'd prefer eBuyer over Dabs. Dabs have let me down too many times in the past ...

This topic is 8 months old. I'm thinking that the purchase has already been made.
