I can't access my favourite torrent site - what's happening?

Welcome to the torrent site status enquiry thread. In future, all enquiries about broken torrent sites/trackers should be directed to this thread.

Examples:

I haven't been able to access TorrentSpy - anyone else having problems?

Is anyone else getting an error message when accessing The Pirate Bay?

If a site is down for a newsworthy reason, you may post a new thread on the subject as long you include the reason in the title.

Went down on monday, and their irc server (on same host?) went down at the same time, and now the dns entry for their domain has been deleted (says unknown host)?

Hi, This may sound like a stupid question but i cant seem to connect to blackcats all im getting is a web search page powered by ENOM yet i was able to get into the forums and when i clicked onto the main home page i get that search page now i cant connect to any link. Any body know whats happening because from what i can gather its not gone down any help would be gratefull.

Working fine here, although I wouldn't know about the tracker since I haven't downloaded a damn thing since I signed up. There's no reason to believe the tracker isn't working though.

My uploads on bitmetv are all still going but I can't seem to log into the homepage. also I get a message when I do a manual announce...problem connecting to tracker...get addrinfo failed.???????

Hmm, I don't know what to tell you. I checked their homepage for a status message or whatever and they didn't have one. Try using a proxy or try clearing your cache. It may or may not help.

cleared my cache...turned off my uploads...rebooted my computer...still no joy....I keep getting the message....cannot find server?
anyway...you guys seem to be able to get on alright so it must be something my end although I can still access all other web-sites....it's got me stumped!!!

i went to the chat room and they said the site was down, and they didn't know when it was going to be back up. I don't know how some people are still able to get to the site :?:

Well, that's odd since I just cleared my catch and was able to access it fine. Anyways, it's probably just maitenence or a little setback. It shouldn't be anything to get overhyped about.

ok I still can't get access to bitmetv.org so I'm getting a little concerned when you guys say you have no problems. If the site is indeed down....except for you guys who seem to defy it and can still log in...I hope it's fixed soon. :evil:

By the way man, just settle down. It's valentines day, get something for your girl, drink a beer, watch tv, anything. Even if BitMeTV was down for good (which it's NOT) it wouldn't be the end of the world.
