Which Internet Provider?

Postby MissPink » Fri Apr 01, 2016 11:00 am

Hi guys

I need to go with a new Fibre Broadband supplier. I wish to avoid my previous supplier Sky as they have now had the court order regarding speculative invoicing as with many of the main providers (EE, BT, O2 etc...)

Please who would you recommend for Fibre unlimited and phone line?
Thanks

:howdy: miss pink

i suspect the folks on the GEIL thread would be most qualified to answer this, in terms of which ISPs are involved and how they handle it - so i'll put a link there to this thread :)

Difficult to say as regards the specific question regarding NPO applications by copyright trolls.

I'm not sure if it's true or something regarding the DEA where an ISP with less than 400,000 subscribers will not be subject to an NPO.

I would say a place to do some research is the excellent ISP Review website:

http://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2016/01/the-uk-best-broadband-isps-for-2016-ispreview-editor-picks.html

I have particular respect for Mark Jackson of ISP Review because he is sympathetic for the cause of those accused by copyright trolls.
"Hatton & Berkeley, which provides financial services to small businesses, sent the letters on behalf of its client TCYK LLC to Mrs Drew. Robert Croucher, managing director of Hatton & Berkeley, said: "They [the letters] are part of what's referred to as a pre-action protocol. We send them before action...They don't actually make a demand for money."

Thanks Gents

I have been on there and like the look of A&A, even if they are more money it would save this stress in the future.
