sad disappointing movie >.< would not recommend (honestly its like all the movies we LIKE > resident evil, and 28 days later.... WITHOUT THE ZOMBIEs, so... boring *in my opinion)

I check CNN several times a day, and yesterday they had video of the speakers at Whitney Houston's funeral. One of the speakers was Kevin Costner who co-produced and starred in The Boduguard (1992) with Whitney Houston. After watching the video of his speech, it reminded me of the movie I never saw completely.

I had only seen parts of it before, but last night I watched the whole thing. I thought it was a really good movie, despite some of the poor reviews.

R.I.P. Whitney. :toast:

You had a voice like no other.

I also have The Preacher's Wife (1996), with Whitney Houston and Denzel Washington, but have not watched that one yet.

saw Prometheus in 3D last week.

was good.

wasn't as good as Alien, or Aliens, for that matter, but i enjoyed it.

hoping for a sequel to flesh out the Prometheus-Alien connection.

The Lucky One 2012

I really liked the movie "The Notebook", and this is from the same author. Good storyline, good movie, and I think Zac and Taylor both did a good job in their roles. I suspect that many men would call this a "chick flick", though. :wink:

Zac Efron was good with Vanessa Hudgens in all the Disney High School Musicals, and watching his recent role changes in the latest movies, such as "The Lucky One" toward more mature and/or dramatic roles is interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing "The Paperboy" starring Zac Efron with with Nicole Kidman, it sounds like a good movie based on the early reviews and or reports.

I have never seen Zac Ephron to be honest but I did like "The Notebook". I suspect this is one I will be watching on my own :lol:

He reminds me so much of Patrick Swayze (R.I.P.

) a young start in music and dance, and then maturing more with each new film he does. Heck, even if you have to watch his movies by yourself, the visuals will be good, even if you don't like the movie, lol.

I bet your arm didn't hurt too much. :wink:

You can tell how much Zac has changed since he did the High School Musicals, and they said he was required to put on extra weight to film "The Lucky One" for his role as a marine.

Here's a picture of the Swayze's, and I do think Don and Patrick looked like brothers in many pics I have seen, some more than others.

very good movie, and particularly appropriate right now with a presidential election coming up in the US.

"A Face in the Crowd" charts the rise of a raucous hayseed named Lonesome Rhodes from itinerant Ozark guitar picker to local media rabble-rouser to TV superstar and political king-maker. Marcia Jeffries is the innocent Sarah Lawrence girl who discovers the great man in a back-country jail and is the first to fall under his spell.

The Paperboy (2012)

Definitely an intense film at times, especially with the role Nicole Kidman plays. I would not call this a chick flick by any means. It was good. Lee Daniels' movies are always something out of the ordinary, and he expects his cast to do what "comes naturally", which makes this movie even better.

I give it :thumbup:

Oh, and yes, Zac Efron has done a good job of maturing since his High School Musical days. :wink:
