I must not have seem the post where she came out. It must be in the Ask a stupid question thread.
Since was the one who derailed this thread, BACK ON TOPIC PEOPLE! :P (I had the perfect pic to put here but I can't find it. In my past Googlings, I came across an admin's or mod's avatar at a forum, that was a yellow star that looked like Patrick from Spongebob and it was holding a rifle and pacing as if on guard duty)

I just Watched Lakeview Terrace. You can't go wrong with a Samuel L. Jackson movie. The very ending (the last 10 seconds) was lame though. Ron Glass, a (sort of) famous name from the past was in this movie. He played the father of the wife.

I guess I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

i liked it better then the happening, yuh, you could see it coming... and the end too... but you cant go wrong with an alien planet, spaceships and machines that want to kill you... i read someones take on it and agree the actors/acting was not memorable and you cant remember the names, just remember the one hawt chick.... it did have lance hedrickson in it which was suprising

Movie: Watchmen 2009
Director: Zack Snyder
Tagline: Justice is coming to all of us. No matter what we do.

Raiting 8.5

Great film..
I'm not much into this super hero thing but I like it because it's more like a science fiction film with
super hero's in it.

It's a long film do don't buy a blatter buster while your at the snack stand.

To all the people who read the original Graphic novel which the movie is based on. (I've never seen it).
I day poo to you all who wanted this giant squid thing. It would have been too jarring and out of place
considering how serious the rest of the plot line seemed to be.

Bolt

It was a really nice, cute animated film (if you like cute!)

Funny, great graphics, good kids film...and childlike adults too :D

The Wrestler (2008)
Mickey Rourke

Very good film, i can see why it got a few oscar nominations. Rourke played the character brilliantly, although the other characters seemed little more than a prop to show how his life has gone downhill and were all pretty forgettable.
Some parts of the story felt like they needed more fleshing out and it would have been nice to at least give a flash of how he went from superstar in the 80's to penniless trailer trash.
I'd give the film an 8 based mainly on Rourke's performance. This movie basically lived or died on his acting, and luckily he didn't disappoint.

Igor

5/10

Not sure, but it just didn't have the spark that some of the other animated shows have been having recently. Was kinda bland...

The Watchmen
This movie was a huge letdown. I havent read the comics (sorry, "graphic novel" ), but from the internet hype i was expecting something on par with Dark Knight and this movie was not. It was far too long because it tried to be as close to the comic as possible but for the vast majority of the audience who arent obsessed with it this movie could have done with some serious cutting down.
I didnt really feel for any of the characters, the special effects were good but not breathtaking and there were too many characters , some of which were of little importance and some which were, but it was difficult to work out in the first half who was who.

This Film Is Not Yet Rated.

Rips the MPAA and their rating system.

An interesting quote about the film from Wikipedia:

On January 24, 2006, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) admitted to making duplicates of a digital copy of the film that was provided to them for the purpose of obtaining an MPAA rating. According to the film's director, Kirby Dick, he sought assurances that no copies would be made or distributed for any other purpose.

Movie: Happily N'Ever After 2
Director: Steven E. Gordon and Boyd Kirkland

Rating 0.5

This is a direct to dvd release it's only 75 min's long and even thats too long.
Don't buy this film, don't rent this film, save yourself... it's to late for me....

This film is a 3d, you know like the one's pixar does except this one sucks and it's
not from pixar.

Things that suck in this film.
Voice acting.
3d models.
The lighting
the shading
the colors
Just about everything. I say almost everything because there is one shot
that last about 10 seconds on screen that was done by one animator who seem to know
what he was doing... After that I guess he go fed up and quit the job.
Because after that very short sequence you never see his animation again.

i watched the original "Kiss of Death" (1947) the other day. the movie itself is very average - when your star is victor mature, the odds aren't in your favor to begin with

but it has a reputation for richard widmark's debut performance, as a psycho bad guy. that performance is worth its reputation.

good little british horror/thriller
basically a remake of an old 50s horror, but with a modern slant and its told well.

Halloween
(the remake)
Director: Rob Zombie

This movie is better than the original. then again, the original sucked, so most movies are better. the first one was very bad, i thought - this one is up to the standard of mediocre.

and i am convinced - rob zombie is a lousy director. he has a lot of really bad habits - involving stupid camera angles and effects which are simply "different". as an old commercial used to say, sometimes, different is better. the unwritten continuation is: and sometimes, it just sucks. with his directing, it usually just sucks.

i'm feeling generous. i'll give this one a 5.

I'm guessing you're not a Trekkie. If you were you would've said you hated it or said you liked it but complained about the off canon stuff. Well, I'm a Trekkie and they more I hear(read), the more I eager I get to see the movie.

i am a major trekkie, and since much of the story takes place in an alternate reality, i don't think the off-canon stuff matters all that much. It's creating new canon as you go, just like many of the post-TOS series' episodes did.

I liked it. Star Trek that is, ya it's kind of a alternate time line but who cares I was
entertained. I would say it was better than Wolverine in comparison.
Ya, the movie was more of a action flick than a political science flick but it worked.

If I was going to measure it against any of the other star trek films I would say it was
similarity to "Wrath of Khan"....Which is in my opinion is a better movie.

I say go see it. Don't download it.. there's too much motion and flicking effects to make a good cam.

Powder Blue (May 2009)

Jessica Biel
Eddie Redmayne
Forest Whitaker
Ray Liotta
Patrick Swayze (and his brother Don)

Powder Blue Movie

This movie has some expected events, and some unexpected events. Men will indeed like the sexy attire and erotic dancing by the women in the movie, and Jessica Biel plays her role very well. It no doubt kept my attention, and I would say it is well worth watching.

Patrick Swayze has a small role in the film compared to the main 4 characters, but he plays his part well. Best wishes to Patrick as he continues his courageous battle with cancer. This will most likely be his last movie (much of the filming for Powder Blue took place in 2007 & 2008), and it's not likely that Patrick will ever be able to do a second series of "The Beast" that aired on A&E. I have all 13 episodes of that series, and it was very good, very worth the time to watch those also.
Cheers Patrick :toast:
