Name That File-Sharing Book Contest

Postby SlyckTom » Wed Nov 26, 2008 12:47 pm

So after talking to a few folk, I've decided it's time to launch the "name that file-sharing book" contest. Here's some background....basically I've been asked by No Starch Press to write a book on the P2P world. The book will be a 'how to' on BitTorrent, the Newsgroups, eDonkey2000, and a few smaller P2P networks, with a history of each of the major communities and the P2P community as a whole. But I need a title!

Since this is a book about the P2P community, I find it fitting that someone from the community names it. Depending on how many people submit suggestions, we'll take the best 5 and we'll decide from there. Whoever wins will be immortalized in the annals of literary greatness with a kudos in the credits ;)

So who's in? Name away! :headbang:

A lot of good responses...I like part of HouseCrowd's suggestion: "Peering in". Not so sure the rest of it fits into the overall theme of the book tho....

I'm thinking something like, "Peering In: A look at how the P2P World Works" or "Peering In: How to use BitTorrent, the Newsgroups and P2P technology"...
