BearShare Lite 5.2.3 is out, why does new bearshare versions come out so fast? hehe :shock:

Yep Bearshare with new versions (over 5.2 AFAIK) can remotely STOP uploads/downloads of all the users using those versions :evil:

They only tested it once. Since then downloads have
been normal. I suspect it'll be used in the future to
blackmail you into upgrading to newer MAFIAA-crippled
versions like the current iMesh software.

If you can find an old copy then yes, it will work.

Now that they have completely crippled BearShare in
version 6, they no longer distribute a lite version.
The web link for Lite doesn't work anymore.
