i dont konw why, my downloads just dont start, even if they do they download a couple of megabytes before completly stopping.

other people are able to upload from me, i share loads of files, and have loads of people downloading from me

whats wrong. ive tried all the servers, donkeyserver, big bang. all the same

i have also disabled all my windows firewall, unless there are firewalls that are still on

i m using Windows XP SP2

I assume you are using emule/edonkey.
Are you new to emule? Had any probs before?
The donkey can be a slow beast, it all depends on how many people have the complete file, credit systems, where you are in peoples que, etc.
It wont just kick in like BT.

Yeah, you need patience and lots of simultaneous downloads to reach good speeds ("good" being an average of 100 KB/s, most of the time).

emule is NOT fast. cant stress that enough.

if you keep emule running for 24-7. with at least 10k up. sharing a collection of the same type of stuff you are trying to download... after a week or two the speed will pickup quite a bit. into the 100k range. and you wont see that regularly either.

and dont expect it to max out your download speed. ever. lol
FINE! downloading *IS* stealing. I still don' t care. I'm still going to do it. And laugh while i do!

Have you configured it at all? At the very least you need to configure your up/down limits and make sure you're reachable.
