I have seen that post but that was more than 6 months ago, and I hadn't had any problems until yesterday.. so I don't know if it's related.

It's not a link to anything. That's the topic in their IRC channel. It can be found on the EFnet IRC network in the channel #filelist

That's where the mods and users hang out and chat. It looks like they are aware that it is down and are probably working to correct the problem.

It's strange though because ICMP requests to their IP work, but no HTTP traffic.

I think they had a little problem with their database and are trying to sort it out.
