Postby bmh67wa » Tue Dec 14, 2004 6:04 am

Fixed several bugs in file scan code that were causing crashes.
Library view remembers expanded folders between sessions
Shared file/byte count on folder lines
Search for Alt/Similar menu option on Library files
Fixed bug that prevented column sort order persistence
F2 key rename selected Library file

blah blah blah Get it here - http://dld91.winmx.com/45654935842241/winmx354beta4.zip
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

Anyone got any ideasas to why we would need this feature, seeing as we already have the file? Search for Similar, I can understand, as you might want a better copy or something.

Well, at least Kevin is still alive doing something, as useless as all those betas are to me.

Actually, Artie, I think it is. The answer is: Who knows.
The Q is: WHEN will 3.55 come out?

7 months to have a new updated chat and a new shared files library but in chat you still can't click on URLs written by users i.e. http://www.thisIsAnUrl.com or WriteMe@hotmail.com are not clickable!!!
This is very funny!

As with MOST other programs used for chat, I don't WANT to click on any links someone posts in the chat rooms. There are so many ways that someone can do things to your PC just by supplying an evil link for someone else to click. I think that WinMX should stay that way for safety's sake. Have you not ever heard of copy/paste? I don't use MX to get links. I use it to get files.

God! he doesn't miss much opportunities to bitch at me, doesn't he? :) It's all good, 0-0, o sorry UO. take whatever compensation measure for your lack of manlyness you deem appropiate. It's all very amusing. And of course, I think you are a stand-up (I use this term loosely) guy (even used more loosely).

Uhh, excuse me, but you are the one that came in here and started babbling. So before you start lashing out with comments, make sure you get the facts straight. Just because WinMX supposedly hasn't had any lawsuits brought forth (yet) does not mean in anyway that there is "no risk at all". You may very well be putting some little kid or grandpa in jail by stating that BS.

And BTW, I would have commented on that post whether it was you or any other person.

Ok, about those facts: how many people have been prosecuted up to the point of jailtime or fines for using winmx to download music? And how likely is it? I mean, really? Chances are pretty slim of that becoming a reality.

I so do hope that you'll become dependant on this group of people for food, since this will mean that you'll starve to death and stop bothering me with your crazy nitpicking. :) Oh wait, where I said 'food', can I change that into 'air'? And in the mean, don't be a hypocrite by pretending to be the champion of babes and grandfather's

Just shut your mouth.

OK, first you come into a thread that was already inactive for almost a month before the time of your childish MSN/AOL type of post.

ElsaPaak wrote:Ok, about those facts: how many people have been prosecuted up to the point of jailtime or fines for using winmx to download music?

I'm not sure, you tell me. And what happened to the movies part. MPAA & RIAA are two total different organizations.

ElsaPaak wrote:And how likely is it? I mean, really? Chances are pretty slim of that becoming a reality.

No shit the chances are slim but "without risk" hardly represents slim.

Sorry, but are you smoking crack? Just what are you trying to imply there? Distinguishing between "without risk" & "slim chance" is not what I call nitpicking.

Your childish comment can very easily lead others to believe it is perfectly safe to use WinMX and they will never get caught, because the almighty "ElsaPaak" said so, on such and such forums.

Can we return to a sensible discussion guys (and girls), so that I'm not forced to lock this!?

I'll admit, a new version that's not a beta release would be nice. I understand, though, that it takes time to develop it and work out all the bugs.
