Looks like his hobbies don't come cheap:

"Learning to build websites (doing quite well so far) I run http://www.lokitorrent.com .. built it from scratch. Big into mtn biking and golf, as well. Live near the beach, so of course beach-sand bike rides"

Not for nothing, but under his profile there is an add for Yahoo People Search. And his donation page had an address in Maine, USA...

Just for your information.

I have run a PACER search (which covers almost every civil court in the country)...

There is NO case entitled MPAA vs. LokiTorrent or anything even similar. I have reviewed every single filing by the MPAA in U.S. Courts and there is NOTHING.

I sure hope you didn't donate... :)

Well, here's another one. Just incase the other pics of him get shut down from massive downloading.

Edit: Crappy hosting. Sorry.

That's because it was probably a civil settlement.

Or something to that effect.

It would appear in the court records if there was a case. LokiTorrent indicated many times that he was being sued. To start a lawsuit, you pay the filing fee with the court... The owner of LokiTorrent made a very big deal out of a document that conveniently marked out the case number... Wonder why... 'cos there wasn't one in the first place... It was a fake.

Remember, the post office has to give you the registration information for a post office box given to a business...for a small fee of course.

Incidentally, the "Loki" associated with the SuprNova Forums and is SuprNova in general is NOT the same "Lowkee" that ran LokiTorrent.com. Lowkee lives in Maine, Loki is from Georgia.

carpefile
I donated to Loki, nothing huge but it was a matter of principle to me. I'd still rather get occasionally burned standing up for my beliefs than lay down and let them steamroll me.

Damn straight.

I think it's time to donate money to EFF http://www.eff.org, they maybe don't offer torrent files, but they seem to be more trustworthy and actually do something.

Damn straight.
