Premium News Server Rating/Comments System

Postby SlyckRay » Fri Oct 08, 2004 10:33 am

Hey everyone,

http://www.slyck.com/ng.php?page=2

Our Newsgroups page has gotten a much needed major update to it while we prepare the structure for a more user driven CMS system. Part of the upgrade is the implementation of our Premium News Server Rating/Comments system. The system has been set up in the same manner as our recently launched File-Sharing programs list. Please help keep this list up to date and useful by rating/commenting on any servers that you have any experience with. This has been a long asked for feature and I'm quite excited to finally have it operational. Please let me know of any bugs/suggestions.

Ray

Good. Newsgroups are getting upgraded.
Next on the line:
BitTorrent
WinMX (You still got 3.31  )
Then FastTrack
Then DC
Then IRC
ah, what the hell, update it all.
Nice to see ya back here BTW, Ray.

I think the Easynews info's out of date.

$9.98 for 10 Gigabytes or 30 days, which ever comes first.

Nice to see some attention being paid to Newsgroups. This way of file sharing has grown a whole lot over the last couple years.

You might want to add this to the Mac range of file grabbers, makes me wish I owned a Mac.

I Use newshosting.com Unlimited for every 6 months $83 well worth the price 24 day retention 995 complete no speed caps. Now i just need to pick up a couple more hdd.

Thundernews

Postby mental » Mon May 30, 2005 12:57 pm

You missed Thundernews.com. I`ve tried a few and this one is really good, and cheap their dearest price $23.99 for unlimited access with 8 connections and they have thirty day binary retention.

My first post so wanted to contribute something

Newsgroupdirect support has answered all of my emails in a timely fashion.

I like News Rover, however the renewal has gone form $9.95 to $18.95.

http://www.newsgroupdirect.com provides a dedicated version of News Rover for free.

I had used Newsgroupdirect a few years ago, but decided I didn't really need a monthly account.

I just use block accounts, which I have gotten from Astraweb and Usenet-News in the past.

Newsgroupdirect is now offering block accounts, in addition to monthly accounts.

Retention hasn't been a problem, so this is working out just fine for me.

Different strokes for different folks!
