New to Newzbin need some help

Postby shutton » Mon Aug 02, 2010 3:31 pm

Hey,

New to this whole nzb newserver thing. I have signed up to Newzbin but I have not yet found out how to download an NZB file. Any help would be great.

Who's your usenet provider?

Edit: We'd all really like to help. But you're gonna have to respond to the thread a little so we can guide you.

Edit: On second thought, there are excellent tutorials on this very site.

1. newzbin free is changed and you cannot download NZB files at all. To download NZBs you have to use the pay version. An alternative like _www.nzbs.org might work better for you.

2. newzbin and other sites like that are only "search engines" that allow you to get an NZB file (similar to .torrent file). The actual files are not stored on their servers. You will have to get a news server (such as astraweb, giganews, etc) and a news reader (such as sabnzbd, etc). If you look around slyck there are some good guides.
