Cheapernews.com $8 unlimited w/SSL and free trial for 8 days

Wow, prices just keep falling. These guys have 200 days of retention for $8 monthly or $6/m if paid yearly.

I'm trying the 8 day free trial and so far everything looks good. Hard to beat that.

I would personally rather pay $10 for UseNetServer or $11 for Astraweb. Both offer 300+ day retention and 20 connections.

Hey that's cool for you but I -never- download stuff more than 100 days old....all that extra retention means nothing if you don't use it. Also, 8 connections saturates my 20M line so why pay more for extra connections? I've signed up and it's working perfectly for my needs.

p.s. using more connections than necessary only increases your overhead and actually slows down your download speed.

I limit my connections to 4...on my speed that is all I need. Anymore than that and it lowers the overall speed...any less than 3 and it doesn't seem to do as well on smaller files.
