Coupled with their 285 day (at this time) retention, that's a Very appealing alternative to a monthly plan. Thanks for posting this, as I have some friends who might be interested.

Wooo! As an astraweb block user, this combined with their increasing retention is music to my ears. Got to love the way bandwidth and storage costs are dropping, making usenet better value for money with every passing day!

Has anyone tried blocknews dot net? they accept paypal and give you 20 gig more (200 gig for $25)

With Astra web, I could get maybe 45 dvd, but with blocknews its 5 more (to 50)...

Also blocknews keep on mention about adult groups, does anyone have a list of it?

I use Blocknews and have no problems at all. I signed up for the 200 gigs and I'm very happy. I don't know about the adult groups but if you contact Blocknews customer support, I'm sure they will answer your questions. Their customer support is very good and responsive.
