Repairing a rar file with bad CRC ?

Postby Pendragon » Thu Feb 26, 2009 10:27 pm

Hi All
I've downloaded a file that came in 62 rars. When I tried to extract it Winrar said rar004 was corrupt bad CRC.

I tried repairing it with Quickpar but after running through all the files it said no repair necessary.

I've even downloaded that particular 1 rar again with the same result.

Any suggestions ?

It means the rar was corrupt as well for whoever the par files. You cannot fit it with the PARs you have. I'd recommend looking to see if the release was corrupt from the source, and if not ask for a repost or look to another network to get a replacement for your broken part.

Just tick the "Keep broken files" box and extract it, 9 times out of 10 it'll be fine.
