January 1, 2009 -- Newshosting announced today a massive increase in Usenet
newsgroup storage capacity to an unprecedented 250 days of binary

wow... nice... too bad 75% of most usenet posts are spam...
but with disk arrays getting cheaper and cheaper it make it easy for Usenet providers to have massive retention.
serial ata arrays are cheap.

I bought a week ago another drobo with 3.5tb storage $600.00...
That will last me another year. tho they are more than likely using something a little more enterprise class.
