Recent comparison of some of the better DC clients?

Postby ignacvucko » Sun Mar 18, 2007 3:22 pm

Can someone tell me are there any feature
differences between:
fulDC
RevConnect
StrongDC
ApexDC

I've read posts in this forum as well as looked at Slyck, Wikipedia, DSL reports, and other guides, but all
of the above clients seem to have the complete toolbox
of features. Is the ONLY difference between the
above 4 their user interface....or is there an actual
differences in features that each offer?

This is not a "what is your favourite DC client" thread. More just a thread trying to find out
what, if any, *functional* differences the above
clients have as of March 2007.

If i've missed a obvious google source that points
this out, please bash me...but i've looked for an
hour without any meaningful results. Even the
"features" pages of each of the apps isn't helpful.

Cheers,
Ignac

Im thinking the same thing recently, all these clients are very similar and there isnt a clear winner in my book.
Information is so valuable in todays society, its understandable people want to lock it up, but the internet is about freedom of information, lets not take that away.

Apex is based on Strong...So, yeah they'll be pretty close.

Both strongdc++ and apexdc++ are fully featured clients and it would be personal preferance to choose one over the other.

the normal dc++ although not as aesthetically pleasing .....now has multi source downloading as well so for the infrequent user or one just requiring basic stable functionality it is an excellent option .

fuldc and revconnect have not been updated in quite some time .
