DOWNLOAD THE .PDF OF THIS TUTORIAL FOR HIGH RES!

I made this just for you people. I posted it on a semi-private hub forums and I forgot to post it here! Anywas here it is. Please if you use it don't say its yours, please give me credit!

I must say I always had a problem downloading and searching through any type of modded DC program. Besides the real one called "DC++"

Ok first of all Im doing using "StrongDC++ 1.00 RC10" while talking about this tutorial.

To download StrongDC++ go to either..
Main Downloading Site: http://strongdc.berlios.de/download.php?lang=eng
Rapidshare Mirror: http://rapidshare.de/files/9187804/Stro ... u.rar.html
FileFront Mirror: http://files.filefront.com/rc10rar/;452 ... einfo.html

Ok this is pretty easy just go do the steps. Each number goes down the picture.

1. This is where you put your local IP. To find you local ip go to Start>>Run>>Type in cmd then press Ok. Then a black screen should pop up. In that type " ipconfig ". Then look for where it says IP Address (For example it could be 192.168.1.100). Now once you found what your local IP address is enter it in where the number 1 is.

2. Im guessing you already know how to open ports up in your router. Anyways put the port numbers in that or just a single port in the boxes. Also make sure " Firewall with manual port forwarding " is filled in.

3. Ok now for number 3 put in your external IP or usually referd as your IP. To find out your IP go to http://www.ipchicken.com then enter that in that. Then make sure the box is checked for " Don't allow hub/UPnP to override ".

Then searching and downloading should work. Good luck...Post your problems if you have any.
