Postby altpdend » Thu Jul 27, 2006 10:22 am

is their any reason why frostwire hasn't updated it's client? at first it seemed to be always working on it's client but now it seems to be all but dead.

What needs to be improved on it? i havent seen any bugs, and until limewire and co solve the bittorrent integration then there isnt anything worthwhile to update it with.

You cant expect regular updates all the time, its often not because people dont want to, its just they dont need to.

Also, a major part of the motivation behind Frostwire was the possibility of filtering being implemented in the mainline *wire client.

So far that hasn't happened, thus kneecapping the chief reason for running F'wire.

Why would FrostWire need to release updates? AFAIK, the developers just take the latest version of LimeWire and remove the crapware. Aside from a few gui tweaks, there's no difference.

To me FrostWire is just a F-U to the RIAA. Maybe it'll convince the RIAA to leave LimeWire alone.
