Generaly i wouldnt say this is good for gnutella....

Ive said it before and i say it again, its the new kazaa and it is the next target.
Information is so valuable in todays society, its understandable people want to lock it up, but the internet is about freedom of information, lets not take that away.

the total # of limewire users is less than 2 weeks total download #'s...

looks like everyone downloads limewire and never gets on the network for any time.

And looking at the total downloads compared to the entire gnutella 1 and 2 userbase...

uhhh... yeah...

I take the Gnutella stats with a grain of salt. They haven't budged in 8 months...something's rotten in Denmark.

That's really strange, could download.com be wrong about the number of downloads?

Thanks. :)

Well, look at the glowing reviews for #5.

In fact, CNET says:
We highly recommend Morpheus to file-sharing aficionados.

i doubt the download figures are wrong. it's easy to count downloads.

what's NOT easy is to keep track of is what happens next. i have downloaded hundreds of programs that i never got around to installing. and even when i do install them, i don't necessarily becaome a regular user of them. i could easily use one once, and say "hey this sucks" and uninstall it.
