Hi i'm new here and i wanted to know if the overnet network is still up and running ?

If so how can i reconnect to it ?

Overnet is just another distributed networks but over 75% of all this users got bumped off then the edonkey client got shut down.

This client support that network but whats the point no one uses it anymore.

I recomend that you use emule.

thats where the files are.

"reconnect to it"... if you have unfinished downloads from Overnet, eMule can import and continue them.

If you want to try again with overnet, you can find older versions of the client program at,, and the Wayback Machine.

I still have overnet installed its just that i can't connect to the network anymore.

I think I need a new contact.dat file.

Emule doesn't like my router :(

Have you tried using eMule with KAD disconnected? This solves most router problems.
