i hadn't used edonkey in forever, i was planning to use it for an older file, and when i went to try and download it, i got their home page, talking about logging ip addresses.

i wasn't aware that edonkey was no longer working. i downloaded an older version, and i got that same page again.

i hope i don't sound overly paranoid, but you can't get in trouble, just because you tried to use it can you.

no and even if they did.
having and using P2P software is not against the law.

yes, they are actually logging your IP address - just like every other website you visit does. no, you cannot get in trouble for visiting that website. there is nothing illegal about directing your browser to that website.

Just like any p2p software, wasn’t design for illegal activities “So they say” You can easy use any of them, even the old one if possible, like zbeast said using any of them it's not against the law, but what you are D/L or U/l that’s what matters. I was Donkey fan boy, it was #1 of all p2p’s at least to me LOL.
