Am I using MFR correctly for recovering download

Postby auto7890 » Wed Sep 27, 2006 10:21 pm

The problem is my download list got corrupted, I do not know how it happened. I tried to use MFR v3. But not sure if Im using it correctly.
here is the pic ... roblem.jpg
I first tried the recover procedure.
For some strange reason I now have 3 folders containg the one movie called
It then said the folder burg.avi is corrupt and can not read, but when I view the folder in explorer i see 214mb
worth of met part files.
I then tried it on the second folder burg.avi.1 and it successfully red it into the viewer, problem being its got
0mb downloaded. So I therefore copied its 1.part.met over the first folder
to see if the 214mb could be recovered.

I just want to know if I am doing something wrong or if there is a way the rest of the file can be resumed with its 214mb worth of download. I get a super slow download anyway and my budget cant afford Broadband upgrade to restart the download again from 0. ... 0/MFR3.jpg

It then says no candidates found size=214mb(but 0mb on disk). What does it mean by candidates? ... idates.jpg
This does not make sense and I am still hoping the 214 mb can be recovered.

This is the 214mb on my harddrive, of burg.avi ... tfiles.jpg

I realize it's been a week, and I'm sorry for not checking earlier.

You should set your temp directory to "E:\originaledonkeyfiles"

Then you should select "burg.avi" as the file to recover. That should work. I can't see what you're saying about the candidates because your no-candidates.jpg is the same as MFR3.jpg.
