ed2k links on a mac

anyone know how to send links to edonkey2000 on a mac. im using firefox, and i already tried to edit the about config and add network.protocol.etc.. it didnt work for me. any help is appreciated thank you.

amule is the only client that can hadle ed2k links on the mac

Amule has added Kad support? (I just noticed that.) Wow.

I hope it's more stable now then it was originally when I tried it, though. Because if it's not, that's a real problem for slow downloads with few sources, and you may be better off running some sort of Windows Emulator inside OS x that allows one to run the official Emule for Windows. Emulators require ram to spare, however.

Of course, with the newest Macs you can just go the Bootcamp+Windows route, but I'm assuming you're G4 or G5 otherwise you might have done that already.

You should try it out. It's supposed to be quite usable by now.

I got rid of my old G3 Powerbook some time ago - it needed a much-deserved retirement - so Amule is not for me anymore.

Still, it's good to know that they got an Emule mod working well on Mac...
