Keep waiting. I'm not an ed2k user but I remember they have a credit system. So you won't be too high on the list. Also, the ed2k network is, compared to other networks like gnutella, slow. As some user once said, you have to have the 'you can't watch it till 2 weeks later' attitude with ed2k.

Yeah, if you upload files and are online long times...

Of course you'll get the same old bullshit about ''oh but its got spyware and adware'', but the same people are blind to it having had a lite version for a long time and has proved rather nice. Kad may be fine, but that's not what I'm emphasizing.

Well, just do a offline install of eD2k and you won't gat any spyware/adware ;D

Check the Top ED2K sites on the left side of this website.

No e-mule doesn't have horde, and a client with that feature download faster or it may not. The performance depends on the availability of the file itself.

You can use the search feature in either e-mule or eDonkey.

Also be ready for speeds that probably won't be as fast your average "bt movie speed".

eMule requires patience, but the client is clean unlike the closed source alternative. If it's 100 sources, how complete are each source. If you find that only a few sources have the full file and a lot of the sources have generally the same parts, it might take a while to complete. If the pieces are well distributed, give it a couple hours and it could easily pick up speed. Mostly full sources is always uncertain given the fact that it depends on how many other files these sources are sharing.

There's plenty of users who never used eMule or the ED2K network that say eMule is slower then a stick in mud, I can say that much right now. Generally, a mainstream piece of freshly released content will likely be faster on other places (like UseNet and BitTorrent) but retention is very short in comparison to eMule (including pay UseNet services). You'll like eMule as long as you don't treat it like UseNet.

Did any of you have try the “Lphant Plus” I don’t hear too many people talking about that client.
If you strictly want to use ed2k its quite nice client, and if u have your settings set up right you can reach high speeds, but again it’s all preference.

Try your eDonkey downloads with Shareaza. Most of the time they will also have Gnutella and G2 sources.
While waiting in a queued line for eMule to start downloading, you could be downloading immediately with Shareaza using the other sources.

Thanks. :D
