Copy Protection on a DVD-R disc - how to bypass?

Postby sbluntan » Thu May 19, 2011 2:29 am

I have a DVD-R Film. Yes its a purple dvd-r

For some reason I can not copy this disc. its shows as invalid. I load it up in any dvd cloner shrink and decrypter and it either shows as odd or as some crazy small number (100mb or 15mb)

I load it up into explorer and WOW talk about structure obfuscation

it shows 421 files totaling 69.5GB clearly impossible.

SO this is some form of "structure protection" on a DVD-R

how do I go about defeating this? I can't even do a disc to disc copy (says invalid in nero)

I assume you will need some info about the disc (its not your normal hollywood disc its an adult dvd)

Just tell me what software and how to get it and I will provide it.

Thanks

There are very few cd's that used a disk layout tricks like that..
The last one that I came across was some type of fetish DVD...
I tried to copy the content's of that dvd directly of the dvd on to my work HD..
The copy never ended after I copied about 200 gig's from at 9 gig DVD I knew something was wrong.
I give up trying all of my standard dvd copying tricks and went to pay ripping applications.

What I used to break the protection was a DVDFab.

Slysoft even tho I like there software for decoding standard DVD's could not handle disk's encoded like this.
