Any version below 0.3.x contains viruses according to the site, especially 0.25.0.

To use alt.binz now will cost you 15 euros.

I wonder if NZB-O-Matic+ is still free?

i am confused by this.

Any version below 0.3.x contains viruses according to the site

what i see is a notice saying cracked versions have trojans - not any version below 3.x

especially 0.25.0

where did you see that? i see no such claim on their site. 0.25.0 is freely dowloadable from that site. are you saying they are telling people it is malware?

What they want, from now on, evidently, is 15 euros.

I don't see the statement that ANY version below 0.3.x contains viruses. The 0.25 verions in their downloadz [sic] section are still free in both the financial and the 'from viruses' senses. Nothing whatsoever has changed in the past three years at least - the versions that are under development and supported require a 'donation' of 15 euros. While the free version is lacking support for recent developments in Usenet postings (e.g. tidying up after a download leaves behind .srr files which is to be expected as this file type wasn't in general use when the code was written), it still works well enough to be useful to many people. As for the newer versions being worth the asking price, it is up to you to decide. Many of the cracked ones in circulation are no doubt carriers of malware, there may be some that are OK, but my personal choice is not to risk it. In summary, if you want Alt.Binz for free, download the old copy available on their site - alternatively, stump up the asking rate or look elsewhere for your NZB software.
