Website traffic counter

Hey guys,

I am looking for a tool/programm that can tell me how much traffic a call to a website causes. It has to tell me the amount of traffic for inbound traffic and it would be nice if it could list the outgoing traffic as well.

Thanks

i'm not sure i understand what you mean by inbound traffic. in any case, isn't this data your cpanel (or whatever the site uses) tells you in its logs?

Sorry for being imprecise.
I am talking about the client. I want to know exactly how much traffic a call to some website causes. How much data is being transfered (each way) to make a call to http://www.slyck.com? This should include images, .css, .js, flash, etc.
I guess there should be some firefox plugin but I couldn't find anything.

Thanks

Then cPanel, AWSTATS, and Webalizer should help you in that.

Aren't those tools for server side implementation? I am looking for a tool that I can run on my pc and find out how much traffic a call to slyck.com, cnn.com, etc. causes.

I'm not sue whether that is posible, not unless you have a complete idea of what the size of each file is...

Once you download it, you do. I just need a tool that counts the size for all files associated to a site. I guess one could do that with a perl script or something alike. But since I am not capable of writing such a script I have to find an available tool to do just that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Assuming that you use Fx like the rest of the world, why don't you try searching Mozdev?
