Windows monitoring software

Postby gremlin99 » Wed Nov 19, 2008 3:46 pm

A question to all of you computer experts. What is a good freeware program to monitor computer activity in Windows. I am not talking about full-blown keyloggers, but something that would tell me:
when the computer was on
which programs were launched
when all the programs were started/stopped.
I tried google, but so much crap comes up that is hard to sift through. I would rather go straight to the source of wisdom here on Slyck  .

Thanks in advance!

I'll be nice and not ask you why you would want this software. :)
Anyway... the software package I would use is. this one. Spector Pro.
Ive used this in the past for keeping an eye on my own computer system.
You can turn it off when your using the computer and turn it back on when your away.

It's easy and fast to install and very hard to detect.

You can buy it on find it in the usual places.

Oh, thanks! Nothing too clandestine, Z-beast. Just making sure the kids are not playing too much videogames (as I saw in one hilarious signature on Slyck, "Not because I am against videogames, I just do not like kids").

Fast and accurate info. Slyck rules!
