Quick Question about Paint

im pretty sure im fricked here... but here is teh senerio..

i was editing a graphic in paint and instead of hitting 'save as'

i nailed save

thus replacing the original?!!! is there somewhere where a temp or something that will show the original is, i hate losing it... GAH so stupid :bangs head on keyboard: packin vista here

I'm pretty sure you're hosed. It did warn you about over writing existing file, right. If it did, it's gone. :(

nope... no warning at all that why i was shocked :( vista has to have permission to even have permission :P

and i clicked save and it saved and i was like O.o that was waaaay to easy and then i was like... OhFrell :(

when you click 'save as' a dialog box come up and you select location... was a dumb mistake clicked on the wrong one...

gah... i hate the thought of making a copy before i make Any edits... but i may have to resort to it so this doesnt happen again :(


edit: to whomever moved this j00 almost gave meh a freakin heart attack i was like OMG I Posted in lounge... I Know i did... didnt i... and them OMG i have to move it back to lounge :shock: and then i realized teh title was different and was like.. waaaaay... :)

Did you try to undo the changes? I am not sure how big the undo buffer is in Paint tho..

Trust me, it IS THERE! You need to take off one disk to another, been doing it for years, it works! Try it, preview won't cut it, go the whole hog and let it work it's stuff. It will be there, don't forget, if you renamed before the cull you have to look for the default name! If you are adept enough write a script for it, sounds hard but it ain't, the Police use it so how hard can it be....... :mrgreen:

EDIT: Clarity

It could still be in the (NOT) so volatile RAM, Encase will do that too. Don't worry about re-boots, you would be amazed.
