How do I change the ownership of my Mac?

Postby phookoo » Sun Jun 24, 2007 4:25 pm

Hey all

I recently inherited a Mac from my aunt after she died, and I've been busy updating all the software & archiving all her old data to give back to her family.

The one thing that I've found is that no matter what I do, I can't change the default owner of this mac - every time I log in, it still tells me that it's 'mxxxx hxxxx's computer'.

Does anyone know how I can change this? The mac still logs me on as the default admin account (I've managed to set that up correctly), but it's a little annoying not being able to change the actual owner.

What OS you using, version? model mac? -- I don't work with macs often, but if I knew more information I could probably find the answer.
