My vote for a real useful small program goes to: Unstoppable Copier.
Its free, as are lots of small useful apps at: http://www.Roadkil.net

now that I'm starting to get a big pile of DVD+Rs full of stuff :pirate: , I'm relying on a tiny CD/DVD catalog app called Cathy.
Fairly basic but for a 45kb (!) download, I ain't complaining. And it is fast.

Name: Cathy
Type: Media cataloging
Size: 45kb (zip), 58kb unzipped

Here's a really useful little image resizer. Great for batch resizing a bunch of photos quickly and easily, and it's only 220KB. Adds a shell extension, so you just need to right-click the image(s) and select the size you want (doesn't overwrite the originals).

Awesome app HC! I have been looking for something simple like this for Vista as the old resizer powertoy for XP doesn't work. Thanks! :D

I'd forgotten about this thread but it's a great one. How about Prio which I personally use all the time.
We should revive this thread a bit.

JoytoKey - 309KB

I don't know if any of you play Guitar Hero, but this little number gets a ps2 guitar to work on the PC (as long as you have a ps2-USB converter ;)) It maps all the keys to the corresponding numbers.

Go to Control Panel> Game Controllers... Click properties on your controller then hit each button on the guitar, write down the number that lights up for it, then go to JoytoKey, put in keys for each button, load up guitar hero, map the keys you wrote, and vwalla!
Why?? Oh why???

CCleaner - a very handy registry cleaner
Process Explorer - a great substitute for Windows Task Manager
Recuva - is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer
Tweak UI - gives you access to system settings that are not exposed in the Windows XP default
Unlocker - it enables you to delete all of your access denied files

Get all of them here:

Here's a tiny app I wrote myself for a customer recently.

Thought I'd share it in case anyone else has a use for it.

The program simply executes a .cmd file each time it's run and each time the screen saver exits. Only really useful if you have a need to trigger anything based on a screen saver exit event, such as open/closing/restarting apps.

Name: SSRunCMD
Size: ~20K

Source code available too if anyone want it ...

Everything search engine
Locate files and folders by name instantly.
Everything-1.2.1.371.exe (334 KB)
http://www.voidtools.com/

Use this myself since Windows Vista & works well in Windows 7 Also & seems a lot faster than windows new search ( Vista/Windows 7 )
