Should I infect my PC with adware and Spyware and download fake files with viruses and bad quality and low speeds and get sued by the RIAA/MPAA?

Absolutely not! The app has spyware which slows your system down. Fake files and the industry has made it their prime area to sue people. Hope that is reason enough.

Just read through the various threads to get your answer, and lfind out which app will suit you best

I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking, 'Did he use six superfluous adjectives or only five?' To tell the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement - but as I deal in English, the most powerful language in the world with subtle nuances that may blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' Well do you punk?

Just to help you out, before you ask anymore questions, take the time to read the guides and some of the posts that are made in helping you choose the one for you. Once you've read them, then you can start asking questions.

And if you're still confused, try here:

Stop demanding to have information spoon fed to you and read the guides. All the knowledge you want is found either there or on google. Do the research and you'll learn more that way...

Actually SlyckTom, I find that the guides on slyck.com are old and outdated (most). And some hardly give a good description of how to compleatly tweak up an app. They just tell you how to set it up enough so you can download. Thats why you have people always asking questions like "Why are my speeds so slow" For example, emule definatly needs some tweaking before you actually have decent downloads and speeds.

EDIt: Oh yes, and where is your emule guide in the first place?!?!

Just a thought, instead of describing on how to get better speeds from programs like eMule or eDonkey, just link them to the guides that are posted on their respective websites.

For example, here for eDonkey:
http://forum.edonkey.com/viewforum.php? ... 8da0e876e0

I'm sure all (or most) programs have some sort of FAQ's on their sites, do they not?

freddy download ares lite. For further info search the slyck's forum about ares, and get the links from the list of p2p programs. Ares is the next kazaa.

This guy isn't even at the point of tweaking up. He just needs to get on a good network, which the guides are more than adequate in that respect. You can use the Update Guide feature if there is something you feel needs to be updated.

Yea not yet. But from what I can see, your (as in slyck.com's) guides are set up like this. They tell about the network, they tell about the clients, they...whoops! Nothing else.

 Ness, feel free to fill in any gaps you notice .

Anyways....

Good thought, but they already do link to most sites, if not all.

There is no point in being too redundant, give the users an overview, some opinions (better to get an opinion here, then on their site) and point them in the right direction. IF after they have familiarised themselves with it; they can't get things going, it is easier to help them. When you learn anything in life, you learn it best buy doing it, not just following word-for-word instructions. If someone needed to read instructions everytime they had to learn something; they would never have learned to read, in the first place.

The guides are not designed to give a history of the world. They are designed to give a new-comer a good start into the P2P and file-sharing community. The advantage of this is that it helps the newbie start off, while more advanced users already know how to get the information.
