If you're being asked for payment, you're getting it from the wrong place ....

KCeasy doesn't connect to Ares anymore either. :( OpenFT must be dead too.

Why is it happening? Even if the developers have abandoned it, it should still be working right? Unless the peer cache servers (or whatever Ares calls them) are all down.

I don't use it very often but it still connects to Gnutella and OpenFT.

It connects to Ares too. Maybe your nodes file is a bit outdated, if it can be helpful in some way I can post mine. Or you can leave KCeasy running for a day or two and you'll certainly get connected to Ares as well (and once your nodes are refreshed the connection won't be an issue afterwards). Fwiw the real challenge is to get connected to FastTrack, since there's no way to get a fresh nodes list to bootstrap the connection for this network. But with the giFT-FastTrack plug-in (in the shared folder by default IIRC), after several days it tends to work too. As incredible as it may sound, there are still some folks on Kazaa's network, don't ask why...
shareaza[dot]com was hijacked and now distributes the so-called ShareazaV4 and Shareaza 5 which are clones of the RIAA approved versions of iMesh and BearShare. The real, open source Shareaza is now at http://shareaza.sourceforge.net/

I haven't gotten FT to work in a year. But OpenFT still works. Did you refresh the node lists? Ares hasn't worked in about 6 months. A new version was just released. Maybe Mkern (the guy who used to develop KCeasy but still sometimes updates the plugins) will release a new plugin for Ares.

Is there something really rare that you can only find via KCeasy?

Someone posted a link to a new Ares node file at the KCeasy forums.and it seems to be connecting but being rejected: Connected to 99.234.103.152:38615
Handshake with 99.234.103.152:38615 aborted. Supernode is busy.

Gnutella and OpenFT connected almost instantly.

hello

no i dont use kceasy, even if i use the same daemon giFT. so i do not have access to the 'update nodes tool'.

BUT , as i use the same giFT, your 'nodes' file would help me a lot. It would be very kind of you if you can send it, or even paste text here.

please share your openFT/nodes file

ty bye

Thanks, I already found that and as I said in my previous post, KCeasy is apparently being rejected by the main Ares network.
I think I sent you a PM withthe nodes file. The PM system here is a little confusing. Apparently the outbox acts like Outlook Express's sent box.

the outbox holds msgs you have sent but have not been viewed yet. when the person you sent it to looks at it, it moves to the sent box.

I don't know what OS you are using KCeasy on, but if it's Vista then you might want to read this: http://www.kceasy.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2410

Vista SP1 users are out of luck according to the KCeasy forum. I'm pretty sure that most Vista users have upgraded to SP1 so I don't know if that link is going to be of much help.

Important port info and XP SP2 info can be found here: http://news.kceasy.com/faq

There are a lot of helpful posts on their forum. Might want to check it out. It covers KCeasy on Windows 98 to XP rather well. You just might have to dig through the crap to find it.

hi ,

you can foolw this tuto to connect to soulseek and opennap

any question welcome

"hola

siempre me toco anadir paquetes : cvs aclocal libtool
