Since i downloaded it about 5-6 hours ago, i haven't managed to be able to connect to the network.
not sure why... it just says 'connecting'...
any help would be good

So make sure you forward your ports (if on a router or some firewalled DSL modems). Most software firewalls like Zone Alarm or Sygate will automatically open ports for P2P programs, but you may need to do this manually if the Windows XP firewall is active.
