flash security over vpn

i just found that mega has a search site http://mega-search.me/

unfortunately mega requires flash to download.

i am concerned about the use of flash and i was wondering can the real ip address be obtained via flash even when connecting on vpn?

does anyone know of any proof of concept sites that can test if flash can reveal my ip address?

i am concerned because i suspect that mega may be a honeypot

fortunately the requirement of flash blocked a download attempt but i want to know that mega is not working with the fbi, mib, cia and even interpol to collect ip addresses.

thanks love ejonesss

I believe so, a flash program could determine your internet facing IP(s)

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatfo ... kInfo.html

From each available network interface, one could open a connection to some internet address and do a trace back to the gateway IP.

sorry i was not quite understood in my question.

i have vpn.ipredator.se for my pptp vpn. not tor.

that gives me their ip address in the tcp/ip status

i have set the dns to 0.0.0.0 to prevent the dns leak.

i have set the ip6 to manual local loopback. to prevent the ip6 leak (i think only a torrent problem)

while downloading a couple files probably wont hurt ( bigger fish to fry) i would like to get into heavy use of mega

i am safe with just a vpn on torrents because flash is not used anywhere along the torrent path.

i am safe with newsgroups because they are one way and the connection to the newsserver is encrypted so the isp cant see what i am downloading.

with the vpn i am not worried about my isp seeing that i am downloading from mega since all they will see is a vpn connection and encrypted data

i am more worried about mega's flash interface to the files getting the ip and possibly handing it over to the folks of mega who (if mega is a honeypot) could hand it over to anti piracy groups.
