Edit: Hmm... I didn't have a problem when I played it (Help on Demand) with VLC. Maybe you need to download it again? :?

Nope . . . I thought of that, but it still didn't work. I even installed a load of other players, but although the video was always fine, there's no sound.

Seems to be because it uses AAC rather than other formats. But according to the blurb with the players, they should be able to play this.

Another great Linux mystery, folks!

This one looks quite interesting to me actually. I need to finish the last vidcast I started watching... trying to remember what it was called, but it was a Canadian made vidcast (conference) involving 4 universities which was really fascinating to watch. :)

Edit: You think a sublist should be included on this list on various podcast feed catchers/readers/etc? Or maybe it would be best left in another thread? It wouldn't violate the offtopic rule in this thread that I'm aware of which is why I'm tempted to add that on here.

Seems like keeping it in this thread makes the most sense.

Yeah. Especially to the fact that it's stickied.

Well, if I remember right, FireAnt was one catcher, but unfortunately, I know very little about this stuff since I manually get everything. There's probably a Wikipedia entry on these, but a couple quick searches and I couldn't find any list or anything. :\

It's late for me though right now, I probably just need to sleep on this.

whoa! Lots of links to shows! Added them all.

I realised after I was done that these are specifically Linux and not just 'open source' as I found myself putting in. Argh! >,< Maybe that's not such a large mistake because it's still a true description even though it's more vague. Sorry bout that.

I noticed Source21 was all in some language. I tried a lot of languages in the Google translater to decipher it and figured out that French, German, and another language worked. So I wasn't sure what language it was in. So... I put 'non-english' for now. :?
