lol, u r probably right with that assumption

Btw, creating a thread on the P2P softwares that r no longer being developed is a brilliant idea, Allied:) Looking through this particular topic is an interesting way through memory lane.

Added i2hub. Anyone know where I can download the app itself? I want a screenshot and icon.

Added Mongo56.org

Removed Phoenix Torrents, they're back in business.

No, they aren't. That's the old Elite Torrents gang. Take a look at their forums and see for yourself.

So there's a new group of people calling themselves "Phoenix Torrents". That makes more sense than them coming back with a worse logo and obscure url.
I'll take your word for it. Phoenix Torrents is back.

But if anyone does regard 66.29.9.75 as the origional Phoenix Torrents, argue your point here.

Added Suprnova.org again. Now that the whole story is out.

Added Razorback.

Added ED2K-it. Tho, my banner is a little small and blurry. If anyone has a better one post it.

Added DVDRs.

Added Newzmonster.

Added NZBZone.

w00t-ness, 100 edits to my top post :)

Thinking of adding NiteShdw. I loved the Star Trek torrents on their tracker. They were the best seeded around.

Tho, they're far from dead. The forum and site is still very much alive.

Any thoughts?

I don't think TVnzb is really dead, the owners just retired it, and maybe sold it,
"We did not receive any lawsuit"

Added TorrentIt.

TiT is dead? They just said "Stay updated" on their site, nothing about being dead or anything.

Quoting the IRC channel,

IRC Channel #TiT on After-all.org is no longer associated with http://www.TorrentIt.com, but will function as a memorial for that which was once a great honour and privilege to be part of.

Just wandering around the way back machine. Found this Slyck page,
http://web.archive.org/web/200302010943 ... /index.php

On the lower left side, it has a link to something called "P2P Graveyard". WTF is that? i thought I was being 100% origional when I started this. You mean to tell me you guys once kept track of this kinda thing yourself?

I'll keep trying to get a grave up for it. So keep your dancing shoes ready.

I dont see anything else in this thread about ES5. I well remember it, but Im afraid I dont know the exact day it was born and died. I do remember a big deal being made about a backdoor that was found in the application though. I guess the back door was what killed it.

I think filenexus 'survived' by needs updating to fileheaven.org.

respectp2p.org has nothing to do with filenexus, simon moon just bought the domain name and redirected it to his site ;)

Come on people don't let this thread die. We need a list of sites that have gone down. Those that don't learn from their history are doomed to repeat it.

WTF is with people lately reviving topics that haven't been commented on in years?

:wank
In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

i agree with you on the previous one - i'll bet that was a prelude to spam. but with all due respect, this topic is stickied, and i don't see a problem here. seems to me that this recent post makes a worthwhile point.
