Been trying to register with Blackcats-games.net for weeks now, to no avail...How frequently do they permit new members?

They Google-baited their site by placing the phrase "what to use instead of OiNK" in their public announce on the front page.

User uploads are allowed, but rules don't seem to be that solid yet. Also, the ratio rules are beyond retarded. See blog post below for details.

EDIT: Holy crap, last week they were at 20000 users. I blogged about them back in June, with screenshots from there and the Dearly Departed ;) for comparison:

http://www.last.fm/user/LANjackal/journ ... 11/447967/

Population doubled since my blog, up 50% in a week, lol.

Also of note from that page is OiNK's growth rate. It was at 163K in June. That means the site grew by over 10% just over 4 months.

Amazing. I bet Hollywood would kill to have those numbers ;).

Also, invites are popping up in some ST users' profiles, a possible sign that closing to the public may be imminent. You know what to do ;).

FileMP3's stats are still unavailable, but I know they were at 99K in summer 2006.

Even though the Holidays are now over, the staff at RevolutionTT are still in a giving mood. In order to demonstrate our generosity, we are announcing "Good Will Weekend!"

We wanted to start out this new year with a bang and celebrate with everyone. So we are pleased to announce that for this weekend only, RevolutionTT is opening it's doors. That's right folks! We are allowing open sign ups so that anyone who wants to join our wonderful site can do so. Tell your friends, family and anyone who you think would be a good addition to our community and have them join up and see why RevoTT really is the best torrent site on the net!

Please note this is only from 12.00 G.M.T Friday 11th January 2008 to Sunday 13th January 2008 00.00 G.M.T. It is a limited time offer and also a user limit has been imposed so as to ensure we do not get flooded!

It`s being done to bring in a fresh wave to the site but also as we feel revo was never meant to be totally elite or leet as people like to throw around. We are for the poeple by the people and with this one weekend look to give some joy to people and have a few new friedns join the community.

As with anything you always will get the rough with the smooth but this is life and something that we deal with everyday.....so.......lets just deal with that.

Please welcome new people not reject them as you should be gratful of your accounts on here if you`ve been here a while and look to greet new people to show thet revo is a friendly and welcoming community.

THIS WILL NOT BE REPEATED AGAIN THIS YEAR SO IS ONE OFF TIME LIMITED CHANCE FOR PEOPLE!

I know it's unlikely but I hope Blackcats Games opens back up in some forum. There is one game that I have found only there (not on usenet, emule, any other torrent site) that is out of print but of course I can't download it without an account. Although other sites are quick to tease me by showing there are 9 seeders and 0 leechers on the torrent I want *sad*.

You guys might want to try using this:

http://roots.exofire.net/projects/orc.html

Works great for me, got into Pornbits, PureTNA and quite a few other sites using this.

DDT is open for new signups-----

DIDIDave.com aka CDDVDHeaven is one of the longest running tracks to be found on the net.
We have been operating for well over 5 years now and have been operating from the same servers for the last 3 so we are not like many a site you see start up and then close in a short space of time.

We are pleased to announces that we are providing high quility ready to burn AVCHD disks for use on PC PS3 and Blueray Players.

These discs are in BluRay format but can be burnt onto a single or dual layer dvd. These BluRay rips are done in 720p & 1080p and will only play on a PS3, BluRay player, or your PC.

They are made into AVCHD discs which stand for Advanced Video Codec High Definition.
AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) is a high-definition recording format introduced by Sony and Panasonic mid-2006.
Audio is usually done in Dolby Digital or DTS.

WELCOME TO THE NEW XVID OF THE HiDef SCENE........

The quility has to be seen by oneself to as the very thought that a a high quility HiDef film can be held on a standard DVDR when some standard dvd's suffer when converted to a single layer 4Gb DVDR can be hard to execpt by words alone.

Here are some of the remarks left already by downloaders of these.....

Ya I just watched it on my PC using Nero SHowtime and WOW ! what a great pic ! TY M8

More titles are being released by the DDT AVCHD Release Team every day so why not come and have a look and try them out.
WE have just invested in Two 8 Core Systems to encode these in a good time frame as on a run of the dual core system you will be looking at 15 hours encoder time quad brings it down to about 5 hours where as the 8 core monster allows us to encode them in as little as 2 hours.

<edit: I am sure your tracker has rules, Dave. So does this forum. Please read and respect them.>

As a way to get these going and help users keep up with the fast release times all New AVCHD releases are set to free leech for all users untill we feel users can keep a good ratio due to the number of downloads they will get...

You wont find these anywhere else yet unless downloaded from the DDT site and reposted else where and the scene boys have still to release in any great numbers onlt 2 so far have been released as opposec to DDT own team releasing 54 titles so far.

As with all release of any type all the uploader is providing a a format shifting service so that you the users dont have to do all the hard work yourselfs----please only DL if you own the said releases alread ......
