Another Can't Download Topic

Postby SeanC85 » Wed Mar 16, 2005 5:51 am

Hi, just recently, like the past two months I have had trouble downloading certain songs and as time as gone on the number of songs has increased. At first it was just a couple, but now it seems like every other song I try to download I am unable to. I try like 20 different files and they all just sit there saying waiting for network to reply. They even get into the 100's of users I am trying to download from. I don't understand what is going wrong. And sometimes even when I do get one it will be 20 minutes of silence even though it says the song is 4 minutes. I have encountered that with Maroon 5 songs.

I had hoped someone would have let you know about this problem Sean, there is no mystery to whats happening.
I am running between forums keeping folk up to date with the latest events but if you read here first
(or here if you prefer) ... php?t=1705

Ok on CricketMx is a list of flooded artists ... php?t=1742
, and following on from research conducted recently, the flooding is not entirely American in origin, in fact the majority of it was traced back to the big Japanese consumer giants, Sony, Sanyo, and Matsushita (who own the Panasonic and Pioneer trade names), they use the 61.x.x.x range of IP adresses and the people like Globix and Fuzion Colo (Media Guards pet server provider) are using servers in the following ranges
Globix Corporation:
Fuzion Colo:

I obviously suggest adding theses ranges to your firewall, or installing peer guardian or Benders patch

Cant be bothered ? Try this little trick, discovered recently on the second search bar type in the following -C: this will filter out anyone sharing files from there c drive which 90% of the flooders are.
Just so you folks who dont use WinMx anymore know how bad the battles getting if you search for Nelly you will get 15k of results now surely some one must call that a denial of service attack ?
I suggest we get writing to our ISP,s and ask them to block theses ranges at there end.
I will be checking this topic again soon so please if you have any questions, just ask and an answer will arrive as speedily and I,m able
to obtain it for you . :)
