Where do I send money?

Postby Imagenyuss » Mon Nov 15, 2004 12:40 pm

many non-profit organizations allow for donations either via paypal or list an address where checks and whatnot may be mailed. Has Frontcode ever listed any address, in the real world or otherwise, where support could be sent?
I'm sure many of you would be quick to list you own addresses, but I'm being serious. Anything to get the new version out sooner is something I'd be interested in.

I did a whois on Frontcode's site, and here is the result...although Kevin has only spoken to Tom, so I think you should rather ask him.

What does frontcodes behaviour with the money have to do with you? And why you deserve it?

Don't go that far. There are many profitable organizations who deserve money or some sort of reimbursement for all of the free services they give the community.

Programs such as WinMX, NetStumbler, Freevo, and other freeware applications couldn't survive if people did not honor them for what they are doing.

yeah sure, if you are going to waste it on FrontCode, you might as well send it to Ray. At least he'll put it towards bandwidth...

Well, it was a generous thought. As we should all have, about the many great things we love and use on the internet.
You mention to get it out sooner. Hmmm. I don't know if it would help, but if it would, then I'd even send them a couple of dollars. lol.

notbob...you truely have a valid point...I tried WinMX with at least 8 opennaps servers connected the other day ago just to give it another chance and boy let me tell you it blows and it sucks  ...reminds me of the performance of the latest Kazaa lite Resurrection or iMesh light...no offense WinMX lovers. I also had primary connection instead of secondary connection - the WinMX network is pretty much dead not just to me but to many others.

I find it humorous that you call me the fool when you so obviously failed to even read my first post in its entirty; I specifically said "I'm sure many of you would be quick to list you own addresses..." and that's exactly what you suggest. I think it more foolish to reply to a thread with total disregard to what the orignal poster asked for than it is for me to want to send money to the programers that made a program that I use daily.

Sending money to you whould be the same as sending money to bush or sharon or gaytes. A terrible waste, and a total stupidity.

Ahh, the greed!!! Send the money to me, no send the money to me....

If you want to make a donation and like this site send it to Ray for more bandwisth. If you wish to give to a charity I am sure there are a Salvation Army or United Way office in your town.

To donate money to a person to simply burn on useless things is not only stupid, but almost comical....

i don't suppose you see the irony there, wanting to pay the programmers that make the thing that gets you music and whatever that you would normally have to pay for, only for free

so you want to pay for the free thing, but not the stuff that has a cost? that is just plain nuts

Not paying. Donating. As a thanks for the countless files of all types you get via WinMX.

if you give someone money, you are paying them

intentions don't factor into it, it is an overarching linguistic concept

but thanks for chiming in and proving the "just nuts" part

There is a clear difference between paying and donating: One is a required due usually reluctantly paid; the other is a monitary gift.

If intentions don't factor into it, and semantics have nothing to do with it either, then what's left?
