Have you ANY information about WinMX internal?

Postby Photograff » Mon Jul 26, 2004 6:41 am

Hi, everybody!
I try to build my own WinMX Java or C++ client, so I need ANY information about WinMX protocol including primary and secondary connection order, file registration order and so on. If anybody has any sources that can clarify the subject?
I think the collective efforts in this direction will help to make something real effective in OpenSource area.

One more question - for debugging I need both of client and server. Has anybody any idea, what's the way to simulate the WinMX server?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is any information about the network - you're probably gonna have to delve into it yourself and poke around.
[code:1]char str[20];
scanf("%19s", &str);
if (!strcmpi(str, "Hello, world!"))
printf("Hello, programmer.\n");[/code:1]
